Kiel Elementary School: By June 2006, due to increased writing workshop strategies and increased professional development, our first grade students will increase their average writing score from 8 to 10 which represents a 25% increase as measured by the Kinnelon Grade 1 Writing Rubric. By June 2006, due to increased Guided Reading instruction within the classroom and the use of our leveled book room, there will be an increase of 4%, from 76% to 80% of our second grade students will increase their independent reading by 3 levels or more as measured by the Developmental Reading Assessment. Stonvbrook Elementary School: By June 2006, due to enhancements in instructional strategies and curriculum there will be an increase in proficient and advanced proficient scores on the NJASK 3 from 90.2% to 95% in Language Arts for general education students. By June 2006, due to enhancements in instructional strategies and curriculum there will be an increase in proficient and advanced proficient scores on the NJASK from 92.7% to 95% in mathematics for general education students. Pearl R. Miller Middle School: March 2006, as a result
of curriculum enhancements, professional development and support programs,
there will be an increase from 93.6% to 95% of general students will score
proficient and advanced proficient on the math section of the GEPA. By March 2006, as a result of curriculum enhancements, professional development and support programs, 64% of general education students will score above the advanced proficient standard on at least one section of the GEPA. Kinnelon High School: By June 2006, as a result of a second year focus on Writing Across The Curriculum, two representative classes at each grade level in multiple disciplines (science, social studies, and English) will realize an average percentage score of 4.3 as compared to the average score of 3.3 realized in the Fall of '04 on comparative scored writing essays in the Fall and in the Spring, as measured by the NJ Holistic Scoring Rubric. This represents a 1 point gain on the Holistic Scoring Rubric.
